We rescued Diamond in late 2013 after he had been hit by a vehicle and was paralysed in his hind legs. His first days and weeks after the accident were very touch and go. He had on and off fevers, was uninterested in food and very inward. Staff and volunteers had to coax him to eat and every other day he needed I.V. fluids. But after a few weeks his health improved and he started to get not only interested but involved in his surroundings. And the rest is history.
Today Diamond is the most playful boy in Handicapped Heaven who is always right in the action. He loves to play tug-o-war, meet new volunteers, swim in the hydrotherapy pool, and cuddle with Leoni.
A disabled dog cannot survive on the street for more than a few days, so your generous sponsorship of Diamond is life-saving.
