Recovery of dog who was brain-damaged by a blow to her head
Oh Muriel, how could this have happened to you? A deep gash sliced through her forehead that must have been caused by something very heavy falling on her head, or—we hated to think it—but possibly someone had struck her, hard. Neighbors called us when they found her in the bushes bleeding and almost unconscious. She couldn’t stand. She could hardly lift her head. We found her completely dazed and disoriented. After a day or two of treatment there was little change. Even after two weeks, although her wound was healing well, her gait was stumbling and she hardly recognized anyone. She ate only with assistance. But then, we had a breakthrough. Watch beautiful Muriel’s story unfold.
